Net-Walking
Net-walk this way!
A unique FREE networking experience will launch in Endcliffe Park Sheffield on Friday 21 October. NetWalking Sheffield is the idea of Sheffield born and bred marketing and PR consultant and trainer, Faye Smith.
“The idea came to me after a client asked to join me on my early walk before we started our morning meeting planning her marketing strategy”, explains Faye. Lucy Lippolis of Sparkles children’s parties and events was her inspiration. “I have heard Faye speak before on how much she values her healthy dose of fresh air to clear the head, think, plan and get more creative ideas before ‘screen time’ in the mornings” says Lucy. “Since I am expanding my business at the moment and creating new strategies, policies and website, I thought it would be a great idea to get the creative juices flowing first, so I invited myself along!”
“As we strode out up the beautiful Limb Valley, we talked over Lucy’s options, issues and ideas”, enthuses Faye. “It was terrific. In just 45 minutes we realized we could reflect on our businesses, throw options around, learn from each other, de-stress and re-focus in a beautiful environment with no distractions.
Lucy adds, “I absolutely loved the idea. I can keep fit, be inspired with new business ideas and Faye’s expert marketing and PR advice to keep me on track, plus make some new contacts all in a couple of hours once a month. We already have plans for family walks and of course, getting further afield into Derbyshire, but right now we want to start small and accessible. I can’t wait to see who else turns up for our first walk- it’s like a lucky dip!”
Sarah Blackwell is another of Faye’s clients, the founder of Archimedes Forest Schools, who is recognized internationally through her work on three continents as an expert and leading author in biophilia (the positive effects of the outdoors) and natural play for children, young people and adults. Sarah also plans to join the walk and says, “Net-walking is a terrific concept. It is so much more exciting and refreshing to be outside, whatever British weather throws at us. Plus I know marketing can slip down my list of priorities, especially as we are now starting work in Australia and expanding our team rapidly. I know that setting time aside to net-walk once a month will ensure I keep on track!”
The first FREE Fresh Air Friday net-walk starts 9am on Friday 21 October, about 4 miles up the Porter Valley and back from Endcliffe Park, returning to the park café for a well-deserved optional drink on completion.
Entrepreneurs, experts and employees welcome! Meet at the café at 9am, rain or shine with suitable clothing, footwear and BUSINESS CARDS.
The next walks on the third Friday of each month will be on Friday 18 November, then Friday 16 December.
